Food Services
Food Service Guidelines
Please review the following food service program guidelines:
-We serve breakfast from 7:40 until 8:00 a.m. To ensure that students get to class on time and to allow enough time for lunch preparations, we cannot serve breakfast to students who arrive after 8:00 a.m.
-We issue all students a pin number and apply meal funds to it. Currently, every student receives one free breakfast and one free lunch every day thanks to a special grant. However, students must pay for anything over the allotted amount.
-Program benefits and services are available to all children without regard to race, sex, handicap, age, or national origin. If a doctor has determined a child has a handicap that prevents the child from eating the regular school meal, the school will make any substitutions the doctor prescribes. There will be no extra charge for prescribed, substituted meals. If you believe your child needs substitutions because of a handicap, please let us know.
Student Wellness
The school district strives to make a significant contribution to the general well being, mental and physical capacity, and learning ability of each student while affording them the opportunity to fully participate in the educational process. Please contact us if you have questions about our student wellness policy.
Free Breakfast & Lunch During School Closures
During this very difficult time of school closures, school districts have been granted the opportunity to continue to feed any child 18 years old or younger. Morristown Elementary School District will be doing a mobile grab and go offering, as well as, a grab and go pick up service at the school. To view the complete details, please visit the link below:
